Renézance
EBNFLŌH Dance Company
Alexandra ‘Spicey’ Landé, choreographer and artistic director presents: Renézance.
This show is a 20-minute street dance piece created for Tangente as part of Danses Buissonnières – Les Gradués 2009. This piece, of now 45 minutes, was presented during Festival Vue sur la Relève in 2010.
Renézance tries to explore the complexities of the mother-child relationship. How does it shape us and gives us our distinct personalities? This relationship is an extremely important one, whether we’re traumatized by or grateful for it. We often question our existence based on this family tie to our mothers and from there we reborn.
Intense identity search, split personalities and constant life struggles expressed through Hip-hop dance, which is in itself a renaissance of modern art.
(45min piece).
