B-SIDE #2 is a three-part event dedicated to thinking, training, and researching street dance. B-SIDE provides a stimulating platform that facilitates greater cultural exchange, and more focused exploration and insight into choreographic development for street dance, overall.
>>> ‘B-Side’, in Hip-Hop terms, refers to the backside of a vinyl record. Many have found lost gems, remixes, live cuts as well as limited editions!

B-Side #2 - Dates

June 28th  to July 9th – RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT LABORATORY FOR STREET DANCERS
AGORA DE LA DANSE
For two weeks, the experimental lab research allows 8 artists to explore an embryonic idea in the studio before presenting it in an informal setting. B-SIDE allows free reign as to choices and artistic orientations. Mentors will be on hand to give advice and orientation to artists.

July 3rd and 4th – WEBCAST SYMPOSIUM
PRESENTED PAR DIAGRAMME
The Symposium brings together top-level pros from the world of street dance and Hip-Hop making for a lively forum on the current state-of-the-art form.

July 3rd, 2021 – 11:30 am – 1:30 pm EST – FREE ONLINE CONFERENCE — open to all.
« Mothers of Street Dance » – Panel discussion surrounding maternity in street dance.

“Self-actualization” – Building a balanced career in the Arts.
Invited guests: Marie-Reine ‘MQueen’ Kabasha, Yaëlle Azoulay, and Helen Simard.

July 3rd  and 4th – TRAINING FOR STREET DANCERS
WITH THE SUPPORT OF CAISSE DESJARDINS DE LA CULTURE
The weekend training sessions allow selected street dancers to directly hone both the style and technique of their craft with specialists of the field right on hand.
